Please tell us about your research project.
While in Oxford I prepared my application for a PhD scholarship. I specialise in contemporary literature in English with a special focus on transmission, memory, and transgenerational relations. My approach is transnational with novels from British, British-Pakistani, American-Ghanaian, Palestinian-American, Zambian and Indian authors.
Could you please tell us a bit more about your scholarship/exchange programme?
I benefited from an exchange program between the Maison Française d’Oxford and the École Normale Supérieure de Lyon. Through this exchange I was able to gain access to the Bodleian Library and seminars organised at the MFO.
First impressions of Oxford/the University?
Life at Oxford revolves around the University and offers great opportunities for researchers. The rich history of the place makes for a stimulating environment while the life at the MFO encourages its residents to share their experience and their advice.
