A collection of 30,000 books, about fifty periodicals and more than 700 French films!

In direct partnership with the Oxford University Library Network through the SOLO Catalog, the MFO Library is a major research hub for an international academic audience. To best meet the needs of this heterogeneous public, the library develops its encyclopedic vocation by promoting the interdisciplinarity of its collections. It offers a wide range of research works in various fields: human and social sciences, arts, literature.

While the research dynamic is at the heart of the library project, it also welcomes a family and intergenerational audience. Cultural mediation for children is one of the priorities of the library. Every other Saturday, it welcomes the Alliance Française, which organizes lectures in French for children.

Each year, the MFO organises a youth book festival on its premises with the help of the Petit Club Français.

At the border of the university library and the public library, the library of the Maison Française of Oxford plays a major role today for the development of research and the influence of the Francophonie abroad.
