Specialising in reported speech, Grégoire Lacaze is Senior Lecturer in English linguistics at Aix-Marseille University. His research on the expression of subjectivity in utterances of direct speech includes linguistics, stylistics, semantics and discourse analysis with a contrastive approach English/French in the analysis of various corpora (press and fiction).
He is currently involved in a Digital Humanities project that aims to analyse posts published on social media such as Instagram and Twitter. He studies how digital publications are shared, quoted and reused.
